Speaker: Kevin Yeager, Safety Compliance Specialist, EnLink Midstream
Yeager has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 20 years. During the past eight years he focused mainly on the Marcellus and Utica shale plays. He also spent time in Bakken (North Dakota), Woodford and the Barnett (Texas) shale plays. His current position includes safety compliance coverage for EnLink Midstream operations (trucking and pipeline) in West Virginia and Kentucky, as well as one tank storage/barge’s loading facility, two truck facilities and multiple compressor stations in Ohio. Yeager also volunteers as an instructor for Operation Lifesaver/Rail Safety Education. He is a train the trainer for powered industrial trucks and aerial work platforms, and a fall prevention and protection competent person. With more than 30 years of service as a volunteer firefighter he retired at the rank of assistant fire chief. Much of that time included working as a field instructor for the West Virgina University Fire Service Extension. Yeager spent 12 years working as a hazardous materials response team member and manager for a major environmental company working throughout the United States, including operations directly related to the 9/11 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Centers and Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. During this time, Yeager also taught courses in handling tank roll-over operations and rail car incidents. Thise includes transfer of hazardous and flammable loads, inland waterway spill response measures, confined space rescue operations and incident command as it relates to hazardous materials emergency response throughout the United States.
