Speaker: Maury Nussbaum, Ph.D., Professor, Virginia Tech
Dr. Nussbaum is the HG Prillaman Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at Virginia Tech. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, and post-doc training, from The University of Michigan. His research covers a variety of areas within the fields of biomechanics, work physiology, and ergonomics, with primary goals of understanding and preventing the causes of work-related musculoskeletal disorders and occupational slips/trips/falls and enhancing working efficiency. He is a fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and the International Ergonomics Association.
