Gene Kay is a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) and is the Director of Ergonomics at VelocityEHS, a leading provider of Environmental Health, Safety and programs. Gene manages the VelocityEHS ergonomic consulting services, and is the lead developer of the VelocityEHS Ergonomics programs. He helps clients deploy effective office ergonomics programs to large and distributed locations. In his 25-plus year career, Gene has worked in a range of professional capacities including work physiology, health promotion, physical rehab and corporate ergonomics. He has held leadership positions with several prestigious organizations including serving as the Past-President of the Upper Midwest Chapter of Human Factors & Ergonomics Society, the Global Ergonomics Manager at American Express, and as the Rehab Services Manager for a multi-center Neurology clinic. Gene is a regular speaker on workplace health & ergonomics at regional and national educational conferences and a frequent contributor to industry publications on the topic of ergonomics recent articles in Facility Executive Magazine, OHS Magazine and ISHN Magazine.
