Speaker: Gail Barnett, Branch Chief, Occupational Safety and Health, U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics Gail Barnett is the Regional Branch Chief for Federal State Cooperative Programs in Occupational Safety and Health with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in Chicago, Illinois. She has worked with the Injuries, Illnesses, and Fatalities program for 25 years, first as a senior survey statistician working with Data Collection, Technical Program Training, and Quality Assurance Analysis, and for the last three years as the region’s Chief. She is a 1983 graduate of Illinois State University with a B.S. in Math and English Education.
