Speaker: Adam Maxwell, Director of Administrative Services, City of Westerville
Under Maxwell's direction, the department is responsible for the human resources, risk management, safety programming, labor relations, buildings and grounds, and procurement functions of the organization. Westerville has 430 full-time and seasonal peaks of an additional 400 part-time and seasonal employees. Our staff serves in varied fields including police, fire, an electric utility, a water utility, public service, planning and development, and administration. We serve 38,000 permanent residents and a day-time population of 80,000. Maxwell is past president of the Central Ohio Risk Management Association (CORMA), a risk sharing pool of 8 regional municipalities. I am presently serving a second year as the president of the Ohio Public Risk Management Association (OPRIMA), a statewide chapter of PRIMA, a professional association of risk management professionals.
