Brett Stoner is currently a Special Agent for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under the US Department of Transportation. He specializes in investigating motor carriers and reconstructing commercial motor vehicle accidents. Prior to working for FMCSA, he was a police officer for nine years and enjoys the challenges of figuring out what happened in a complex accident. He is an accredited accident reconstructionist and ASE certified in passenger, light, medium, and heavy truck. He continues to focus on the technology of vehicles and how data storage and retrieval of vehicle component systems can be used in accident reconstruction. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he was a military police officer. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toledo graduating Cum Laude. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two children, wrenching on cars and bikes, and writing about himself in third person.
