Sell is the CVO of United Group Services, a Cincinnati-based industrial construction and engineering firm that works throughout the U.S. He has 29 years of experience in the construction industry and is an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) member. His education includes technical degrees in fire science and business administration from Northern Kentucky University, a bachelor’s in safety engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a master’s in construction management from Clemson University. Sell has served as a special government employee for the U. S. Department of Labor-Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) since 2003. He was a contributing author to George Burk’s second book, “Value Centered Leadership”and co-authored the VPPC Program for the U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA. Sell served as chairman of the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission and retired from the professional fire service in 2005. Sell was a shift commander at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Fire Department. He also served as a member of the 2012 U.S. Electoral College representing Kentucky’s Fourth Congressional District. He currently serves as Chairman of the ABC National Business Development Committee and National Chairman of the ABC User’s Summit. In 2018, Sell was named the Special Government Employee of the Year by the U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA. He is a nationally recognized speaker on topics such as safety, workforce development, political strategy, and leadership.
