Speaker: Jeff Diamond, Training Coordinator, Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Diamond has been an employee of the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities since 1998. He began his career in the adult services division as a direct support professional and then as a frontline supervisor for individuals with developmental disabilities. He later transitioned to a management role where he supervised the frontline supervisors handling janitorial contract services and specialty sub-contracting and was appointed to the Adult Services Safety Committee. Diamond developed a passion for ensuring safety within the adult services building and educating his co-workers about safety, he was subsequently elevated to co-chair of the Safety Committee. His responsibilities were expanded to safety and training of individuals and co-workers throughout the adult services division. Diamond is now in the community services division as a training coordinator. In his newer role, he is committed to provide quality training in the areas of safety and provider supports. His ability to help agencies and individuals learn about their responsibilities to properly care for individuals with disabilities has become a true passion. He is also chair of the Greene County Safety Council. Throughout his career Jeff has witnessed the ability of a diverse group of people society defines by their disability to work safely and diligently and to positively impact the companies who contract their services.
