Speaker: Dave Ponder, CSP, CHST, Health and Safety Director, Sunesis Construction Co.
Ponder is the health and safety director for Sunesis Construction Co. He has more than 18 years in the health and safety field beginning with the U.S. Navy Seabees, during which he progressed from the rank of constructionman to petty officer first class. While serving, Ponder oversaw the health and safety for multiple projects that he managed. After leaving the military he moved on to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration where he was a compliance safety and health officer in the Cincinnati Area Office for eight years. While with OSHA he conducted more than 500 inspections of project sites, including 20 fatality investigations.
