Speaker: Lori Finnerty, RN, BWN, CRRN, Vice President of Quality Assurance, CareWorks
Finnerty, RN, BSN, CRRN, is the vice president of quality assurance at CareWorks which is a BWC certified management care organization. She has more than 32 years experience as a registered nurse with more than 26 years of experience in workers’ compensation. She is also a certified rehabilitation registered nurse. Finnerty has been with CareWorks in her current position as vice president of quality assurance since 1997 and was instrumental as an early member of CareWorks management team in the development and implementation of the managed care and quality improvement program at CareWorks. Prior to CareWorks, she held positions of increasing levels of responsibility in both the public and private sectors focusing on medical management and return to work programs within the workers’ compensation environment; including two years as coordinator of injury management at Compensation Consultants, Inc. and eight years with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation as an industrial rehabilitation nursing administrator and nurse specialist.
