Josh Williams earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Virginia Tech. He’s a Senior Project Manager with Safety Performance Solutions (SPS) in Blacksburg, Virginia. Josh is the author of Keeping People Safe: The Human Dynamics of Injury Prevention (Publisher: Government Institutes). He also co-edited Keys to Behavior-Based Safety with Dr. E. Scott Geller. He has more than 20 publications in leading safety journals and received the Cambridge Center National First Prize for his research on behavioral safety feedback. For the last 18 years Josh has managed Behavior Based Safety and Safety Culture Assessment initiatives in both English and Spanish with leading organizations across the world. A sampling of organizations he has worked with includes: Albany International, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Caterpillar, Corning, Ensign Drilling, ExxonMobil, Genentech, General Dynamics, Honeywell, Los Alamos Laboratories, Lucent, Pilot Chemical, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, RSR, and Singapore Technologies. Josh has also delivered motivational presentations to Boeing, LL Bean, The Marines, NASA, UPS, the U.S. Army and Walmart. He’s currently struggling to maintain his golf handicap in single digits.
