Speaker: Gaye Johnson, Cincinnati Assistant Area Director, U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration
Gaye began her career with the U.S. Department of Labor, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the Cincinnati Area Office in 1985. She has held positions on both the administrative and professional side of OSHA. Gaye went through the Upward Mobility Program in 1989 to become a safety specialist at OSHA, a position she held for 17 years before being selected as a Compliance Assistance Specialist in September of 2007. In August of 2011, Gaye became an Assistant Area Director for the Cincinnati OSHA office. She has served on committees such as OSHA’s National Reinvention Committee, and Region V’s Training committee. She has received numerous awards over her career in OSHA, including the Distinguished Career award.
