Provider Staff Forum

New for 2018!
Educational opportunities for provider office staff

In addition to our Medical & Health Symposium clinical sessions, BWC is now offers provider staff educational sessions conducted by BWC experts on Friday, March 9, 2018.

We recommend office staff/administrators who manage the day-to-day operations of workers’ compensation processes and workflows within a health-care system attend this track.

This track features state experts in workers’ compensation from BWC and managed care organizations (MCOs).

By attending you will learn more about:

  • Alternative dispute resolution and bill-grievance processes;
  • Billing and reimbursement;
  • MCO and BWC personnel roles and responsibilities;
  • Necessary medical documentation;
  • Presumptive authorization and prior authorization;
  • Reporting an injury, narrative descriptions, ICD-10 codes, symptoms and injury details;
  • Self-insured claim differences;
  • Work capabilities and restrictions – Physician’s Report of Work Ability (MEDCO-14).
