Continuing Education


The Medical & Health Symposium offers free continuing education credit for licensed health-care professionals.

  • Physicians** View
  • Chiropractors View
  • Nurses** View
  • Vocational rehabilitation specialists (CRC, CCM and CDMS)
  • Professions that recognize CEUs awarded by the International Association for Continuing Education
    and Training (IACET) View

 

Proof of Attendance
To earn continuing education credit you must:

  1. Arrive at the session on time. Doors will close 10 minutes after the session begins. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
    BWC will grant no exceptions;

     
  2. Remain in the session for its entirety;
     
  3. Have your badge scanned at the end of each session. This is proof of your attendance at the session. This is the only method to identify the sessions you attended;
     
  4. Visit your Attendee Service Center, complete a session survey and print a certificate of attendance. You may do so for up to 30 days after the event.
    Note: The Ohio State University Medical Center will provide CME certificates to physicians after the event.
     
  5. Submit your attendance certificate to your professional organization, accrediting agency, BWC representative, group
    rating administrator or local safety council.

 

 


 

** Registered nurse (RN) – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (OH-188, 1/1/2019) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

** Physicians (CME) – The Ohio State University Medical Center, Center for Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The Ohio State University Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
