Description:

From combustible dust explosions to high voltage electrical incidents, fires in agricultural operations can present challenges that make them difficult to anticipate and prevent. To be effective at reducing and preventing fire-related personnel and property losses, we must know and understand what we expect to cause a fire and what we expect to burn because of it. The presenter teaches participants about aspects of agricultural fires that make them different, while giving opportunities throughout the session for discussion of actual scenarios.

Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize areas of highest potential for fires in agricultural equipment and facilities; 2. Describe appropriate safeguards for prevention of fire and reduction of losses related to agricultural fires; and 3.
