Speaker: Eddy Biehl, President, D Byers & Associates LLC
Biehl earned a Bachelor of Arts in economic geology from Harvard University. He has accumulated 40 years of management, operations, and field experience in the oil and gas industry, including direct responsibility for simultaneous well site drilling and completion operations, and management of production and oilfield service companies. Over the past five years he has also engaged in providing wide ranging consulting and training services in various industries including manufacturing, construction, public safety, health care, and higher education in addition to oil and gas. His topics include management, safety, communications, train-the-trainer and other workforce skills. He has spoken on various onshore oil and gas industry topics ranging from technical and economic to safety and operations at many conferences and meetings around the continental U.S. during the past 40 years. He is a former member of the national SafeLandUSA executive committee and advisory board. The organization developed the oil industry equivalent to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration -10 card to promote a basic safety awareness program for all onshore operations. Biehl also worked with SafeGulfUSA to coordinate standards between the onshore and offshore industry. He is a certified rigging and lifting instructor (API and ASME) and a certified everything DISC and five behaviors of a cohesive team facilitator.
