Simon earned his bachelor’s in business management from Malone University and his associate in business from Cuyahoga Community College. He earned his Six-Sigma Green Belt certification through Villanova University. Simon has more than 20 years’ experience in management, operations, environmental health, and safety experience in fortune 500 and large-scale manufacturing and food processing facilities. In conjunction with his formal education, Simon has also certified as an Occupational Safety and Health Administration authorized general industry trainer, a certified HazWoper instructor, emergency medical technician, and an instructor of first aid/CPR/AED. Simon is experienced in managing operations in union and non-union environments as well as managing multiple facilities’ safety programs within a region of four states. He also created a behavior-based safety program promoting 24/7 safety culture. Simon has also been a guest speaker at the State of Kentucky Governor’s Safety and Health conference and numerous Ohio Safety Council meetings. He is also an adjunct instructor at Zane State College and The Ohio State University.
