Carter is the owner of Elizabeth Carter Consulting LLC of New Concord, Ohio, and a consultant with D Byers & Associates. She is the vice president of Carter Concrete Inc. Carter serves on the Guernsey Noble Safety Council and Leadership Guernsey Executive Boards. She has offered numerous seminars pertaining to her experience with the oil and gas industry. These include hiring processes, health and safety, Department of Transportation requirements, hiring, and retention. These also include what companies need to contract with the oil and gas industry. Carter works directly with companies in developing and facilitating safety policies and procedures, human resource relations and procedures, drug-testing programs, accident investigations, and Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation compliance. She is a trainer for sexual harassment, leadership, and human resource law. Carter has had articles in the Times Recorder, Oil and Gas Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. She was also featured in radio interviews with KUHF Houston Public Radio and 90.3 FM Columbus Radio. Carter partners with various organizations such as the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth LLC, Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, and Small Business Development Center to offer services to their clients.
