Tedesco is a senior EH&S consultant for DuPont and serves as the site occupational health leader at the Washington Works site. He has more than 35 years of professional experience all with DuPont. His career started as a technician, supervisor, then toxicologist at DuPont’s toxicological lab, Haskell Lab, specializing in the field of inhalation toxicology. He has also published multiple peer-reviewed studies on dermal penetration. After 22 years, he transferred to the world’s largest performance polymers site, DuPont Washington Works in Washington, West Virginia. There he serves as the site's occupational health leader. His primary duties include management of all the site's occupational health committees. He serves as site leadership and subject matter expert in the fields of ergonomics, hazardous materials, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, personal protective equipment, radiation hazards, respiratory protection, and shelter in place. He has also supported DuPont as a global consultant setting up occupation health and industrial hygiene programs in North America and Asia. He is a member of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), earning his CSP in 2012. As a volunteer he serves as one of 15 Global mentors for the BCSP. Other professional memberships include the American Industrial Hygiene Association and American Association of Safety Professionals. He is the president of the Central Ohio Valley Industrial Emergency Organizations (COVIEO). COVIEO is a multi-state emergency response cooperative organization that supplies emergency response and safety equipment to public and private members during times of need.
