Speaker: Kara Parker, Ed.D., NCSP, University of Findlay Dr. Parker is an assistant professor of education at the University of Findlay. She teaches courses on research, diversity, and collaboration in both the master’s and Doctor of Education programs. Dr. Parker's research interests include teaching and learning, school psychology, neuropsychology, and emotional behavioral disorders. Through her research, she aims to identify opportunities to increase equity and opportunity for groups traditionally underrepresented in education. Dr. Parker is a state licensed and nationally certified school psychologist. She holds her Education Doctorate (Ed.D.) in teaching and learning from the University of Findlay. She has presented her research at notable conferences, such as the American Educational Research Association’s annual conference and the Association of Teacher Educator’s annual meeting. Before working in higher education, Dr. Parker worked as a school psychologist in seven diverse districts, including a county Emotional Disturbance program. Prior to school psychology, Dr. Parker was a behavioral specialist working in a residential program for youth with significant psychological and behavioral needs.
