Speaker: Michael Lampl, CPE, Research Director, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Lampl is the research director for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), Division of Safety & Hygiene. He has also worked as an ergonomist and as an ergonomics technical advisor for BWC. He previously worked as a safety and health coordinator for a large manufacturing company. He obtained his bachelor's in industrial & systems engineering at The Ohio State University and his master's in occupation health at the Medical College of Ohio. He is a certified professional ergonomist. Lampl previously taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Toledo, Public Health Department, and served as a member of the planning committee for the Applied Ergonomics conference sponsored by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He has worked as co-investigator on several different projects with NIOSH. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the occupational safety and health field.
