Mariana has a diverse background in plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical wiring, safety training and assessment, production supervision and adult education instruction. She has extensive training in safety observation and assessments, ergonomics, team based work groups, Lean Manufacturing and Poka Yoke (mistake proofing). Her primary focus has always been accident prevention and ensuring the American worker (employees??) can do their job in a safe environment. Mariana has 30 years experience in construction trades and has worked in residential, light commercial and commercial industries. Her roles varied from Service Manager to Safety Program Coordinator and Trainer. She has a proven track record of reducing accidents and injuries, developing best practice procedures, coordinating team based work groups, instituting lockout/tagout procedures and programs and student success in the classroom. She has been rated “excellent” on her classroom instruction by Kaplan College and was commended on her student retention and pass rates. Mariana served twelve years in the US Air Force where she served as a Plumber and as a Human Relations Education/Sexual Harassment Awareness Counselor/Instructor. She was an honor student in the USAF Leadership Academy. After her military experience, she graduated from Ret’s Tech Center in HVAC/R. She has also been certified from Kempner Tregoe, Inc. in Problem Solving & Decision Making and also Analytical Troubleshooting. Mariana is an authorized trainer for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and provides training throughout the Miami Valley.
