Hopkins safety career began In 1999, when he was tabbed as the Compliance Coordinator at a soybean processing facility in Sheldon, Iowa. During his 21+ years of safety experience, Corey has held safety leadership positions at a hamburger production facility, a manufacturing plant, and an multi location agricultural company. He has valuable experience in hazard recognition, risk assessment, incident investigation (including root cause analysis), and behavioral safety. Hopkins strong belief in the effectiveness of proactive safety cultures has shaped his career and allowed him to improve the cultures of all the companies he has worked with through the years. He has been a speaker at many safety conferences through the years on many different safety topics. His passion is evident to anyone attending one of his speaking sessions. He attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where he graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in business management and a minor in psychology. He has wide array of work experiences, ranging from sales and support of automated liquid fertilizer equipment to supervising a crew at a soybean processing plant.
